A Lift Check Valve is a type of non-return valve designed to prevent backflow in piping systems by using a vertically lifting disc. The valve allows fluid to flow in one direction, lifting the disc when there is sufficient forward pressure. When the flow stops or reverses, the disc falls back onto the seat, sealing the passage and preventing reverse flow. This makes lift check valves ideal for applications requiring reliable backflow prevention, especially in high-pressure systems.
One of the main advantages of a lift check valve is its durability and efficiency in handling high-pressure and high-temperature fluids. The guided disc ensures a tight seal, reducing leakage and maintaining system integrity. These valves are commonly made from materials such as stainless steel, cast iron, and bronze to withstand harsh operating conditions. Additionally, their simple design results in minimal wear and tear, making them a low-maintenance solution for various industries.
